Lisa Ramsey

Lisa and her husband Mark founded The Ramsey Group at Keller Williams Realty in 2003. They are proud to hold the highest Customer Satisfaction of any REALTOR’s around. In addition to leading her team at The Ramsey Group, Lisa and her husband Mark enjoy volunteering at their church and helping others grow their businesses through modeling and mentoring. Lisa enjoys working with volunteer coordination and partnerships with KennedyStrong Foundation. Most importantly, she enjoys working on strategic business development of KSF and guiding focus and mission to meet our goals.
Lisa is passionate about being outside, all things family, Panthers football and flying through the skies beside her husband.
Angela Higbea
Controller at Amwins
Angela Higbea has served as Controller of Amwins since 2001. She is responsible for financial reporting and treasury management for the firm, as well as debt reporting and compliance. Angela also oversees audit and tax compliance for all operations of the company and performs mergers and acquisitions diligence as appropriate.
A graduate of Florida State University, Angela serves as treasurer for the KennedyStrong Foundation.
She is also an annual participant in Big Day on the Lake in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas.
Angela is passionate about spending time with her family on the lake, watching her kids play sports, scuba diving and traveling to locations with white sand and blue water!

Betsy Boone
Founding Member
Betsy (Kennedy’s Mom), and her husband are the cofounders of KSF. Betsy has been in sales & business development for 20 years. Her advocacy work began 6 years ago when Kennedy was born. She gains momentum on a regular basis by inspiring others to look for their own capabilities & opportunities for inclusion & integration in every area of life.
Betsy is a graduate of Appalachian State University and resides in Charlotte, NC with her husband and four children.
Brendon Boone
Founding Member
Brendon (Kennedy’s Dad), co-founded KSF with his wife Betsy. Brendon has been in finance and Banking for 30 years. His commitment to advocacy began when they received the prenatal diagnosis of Trisomy 21 also known as Down syndrome. He is an active participant of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, serving as President for the 2020-2022 term. Brendon is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte and resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife and four children.
Vision Statement
The KennedyStrong Foundation sees an inclusive world where individuals with Down syndrome and intellectual/developmental disabilities are contributing members within their communities and living out their dreams of independence.
